I totally agree with you though, and am happy that they aren't in the RSS feed text, as some great sites use the advertising system. I won't be revisiting this topic, and I don't really like pointing out my competitors flaws. I'd really like to continue to stick to writing about what I've learned and what I know in the blogging industry. This post was because I constantly get asked "what makes you different than those thousands of other "make money online" blogs?" I hope the answer helps those that were asking. Your ideas on how the post could have been improved are amazing, and definitely something I will keep in the back of my mind for the future. What if you had refactored this post into "Five Ways Your 'Make Money Online' Blog Can Attract More Readers"? Or, taking it the opposite direction and adding a humorous angle: "Five Ways To Ensure Your 'Make Money Online' Blog Will Never Make Any Money"? You would have had a huge viral following just by reframing the same points in that context. Instead it reads like "Me, me, me... I'm awesome; subscribe to me." Certainly the general lack of affiliate links is something I greatly appreciate. Even worse are those javascript in-content word ads. Sites with those don't get revisited by me very much - they're maddening.
