good suggestions all. I have the widget on my currently 171st place blog just to keep my mind on how far I need to go … but the best idea is to have an actual Top 100 list and then a separat “wanna be” list … maybe like Tripl A ball and the big leagues. Hmm, I must have playoffs on the brain Lol. I’m glad you made the suggestions and I’m glad Mark has already been by to look them over.

Hey Mark, do you ever get off the net?

I totally understand about easing into it slowly. I was just wanted to share why I hadn’t joined the fun as of yet.

As for the red arrow… that makes sense… Maybe don’t penalize them with a red arrow unless one of their ranks (PR, Alexa, Technorati) gets worse between updates? I dunno… It would be nice to have something that showed there were new sites added though… cause originally I was in the Top 100, and through no fault of my own… I was pushed down the list. It would be nice to have that sort of displayed in some way…

I’ll consider it all

I’m brand spankin new to widgets so the limited styles was simply to keep things simple to make sure everything worked. I want to ease into things slowly.

The only point I thought was interesting was the directional arrow. I had thought about it but who wants to be ranked over 100 WITH an arrow pointing down or red? lol.

It’s also a great post in general for new widget builders if any are out there paying attention so thanks from all of us..
