Cooking is one of the most relaxing and fulfilling activities that you can engage in. Even those who do not have much cooking experience can gain a lot of benefits spending some time in the kitchen and enjoying the fruits of their labor. For some, cooking is a necessity, but this fact does not necessarily take away from the experience.

One thing is for sure – both the seasoned cook and the newbie has to have access to different recipes and ideas. Naturally, there is the adventure of coming up with your own recipes, but even the best cooks will tell you that inspiration also comes from existing dishes and recipes.

Speaking of inspiration, here is something that will give you some assistance in that area. The newest recipe site in town is here to serve as your most important helper in the kitchen. Recipe Finder is a new search engine that features a host of dishes that anyone can make at home. The advantage of Recipe Finder over other recipe sites is that it offers a collection of over a million recipes found online today. Recipe Finder crawls other recipe sites, doing away with the need of having to check individual sites over and over again. Consider it your one-stop recipe site! And with Recipe Finder regularly checking for new recipes, you are assured that you will always have something to new to discover.

Searching for recipes on Recipe Finder is as easy as pie. You only have to enter the names of recipes or keywords in the search bar. If you have stricter requirements, you can make your search more specific by identifying details such as ingredients (include or exclude them), calorie count, cook time, number of servings, and so on. Furthermore, you have two viewing options: text or images. If you want to get cooking immediately, the former option is perfect. If you want to choose recipes based on how the final product looks, then the latter is ace.

Recipe Finder can help you get organized. It has a built-in menu creator which you can use to plan meals. Whether you are preparing for a normal everyday meal or a special one, the menu feature can make the planning so much easier for you. And if you want to plan meals days or weeks in advance, the calendar function will serve you perfectly. Finally, if you like having printouts of your recipes, you simply have to press the print button on the recipe page.

Ready to start cooking? Visit Recipe Finder now!

I don’t think it’s any secret that people are absolutely fascinated with Reality TV. It seems like a new Reality show starts up every week that draws thousands of viewers who sit on their butt and watch someone else’s life flash across the screen.

Watchers vs Doers

Reality TV is usually based around people’s lives and offers some kind of a reward in exchange for taking part in the series. These people often put aside a career, a family life, school in exchange for the rewards that can come with taking part in one of these series.

Your average person would never in a million years consider going on a Reality TV show like say Survivor. I am sure they would justify it with any number of excuses but all of them would simply add up to the fact that they could not justify the risk, even though the reward was great.

Reality TV Winners often become millionaires and even move on to achieve minor celebrity status. On say Survivor you have to outlast approximately 20 other people in order to win a MILLION dollars! A 1 in 20 to win a million are GREAT odds, yet most people would prefer to play the lottery, where you have a better chance of being hit by lightning than winning.

Why?

Watchers

Sadly the bottom line is that Reality TV is so popular with the general masses because they simply would never dream of making that leap. They aren’t willing to risk anything in order to be successful or achieve their dreams. They would rather sit on the couch and play it safe with that 9-5 job.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with that if it makes them happy. The problem is that many are not happy with their situation and they continue to look for the magic answer, the silver bullet that will put them on the map and bring them the happiness and success that they long to achieve.

Interestingly enough I would suspect that most of these people are the types that buy e-books for 97 dollars or sign up for programs that promise instant, easy riches or that you can lose weight and eat anything you want. No matter what you hope to achieve, you can be sure that some sneaky marketer will be there to sell you a dream.

Rather than work for it, they would rather find “the secret” that can make it happen. You know what secret…the one that all of the Internet Marketers keep claiming to have found.

“Do”ers

Watchers will almost always justify why they are a watcher or why they haven’t succeeded yet. What is worse is they will often let their jealousy take over and throw stones at those who have succeeded.

People who are fit and in shape are lucky to be “genetically blessed” even though they run 5 miles a day at dawn.

People who just bought the big house on the corner “come from money” even though they work 70 hours a week running their own business to earn that money.

People who graduate from Harvard must have “parents who are connected” even though they have spent their entire life studying and worked two jobs to put themselves through school.

Jealousy is ugly and it can turn an otherwise nice person into a shallow and repulsive individual. “Do”ers almost always deserve what they achieve because they took action. They put in the effort.

Instead of reading about building a blog they built a blog.

Instead of reading about losing weight, they joined the gym and started losing weight.

Instead of wishing they could go back to college and get a degree, they GO back to college and get the degree.

It doesn’t make them any better than anyone else, it just makes them different. Luck has NOTHING to do with it. They aren’t watching Reality TV, they ARE Reality TV except the star of the show is them.

They’re making things happen for themselves, not hoping to hit the lottery.

Conclusion

The good news is this, it’s never too late to get in the game. It requires nothing more than a decision on your part to get off the couch and take control of your life. It may not be making money online, it may not be going back to college but chances are there is something in your life you are looking to improve.

You can start today by auditioning for you own reality TV show. The audition is in your mirror this morning and the only question you have to answer to win the part is whether you want it badly enough to actually do something about it.

If you want to Make Money Online then start doing it, if you want to lose weight then start today, if you want to go back to school then get an application. It doesn’t matter what it is that you want to accomplish, the ONLY way you will do it is by taking the first step. You are guaranteed to fail if you never try.

They’ve been there. They’ve done that. And now, they are among the richest online entrepreneurs of the world. Isn’t it inspiring? So, without further ado, here are the top three richest online entrepreneurs and their recent 2011 net worth in USD:

Top 3 – Jeffrey “Jeff” Preston Bezos ($18.1 Billion)

He is the founder, president, CEO, and chairman of the board of Amazon.com. Bezos might not have been in the list if he chose to study Physics at Princeton University. Good thing, he later changed his mind in favor of Electrical Engineering and an IT degree on Computer Science. He proved that it was a good choice when he graduated summa cum laude and when Amazon.com becomes his legacy.

Top 2 – Sergey Mikhaylovich Brin ($19.8 Billion)

Being the son of a mathematician and a research scientist, Brin is expected to follow the professional career of his parents. So he did. He studied computer science and mathematics in University of Maryland. He continued to study Computer Science to acquire his Ph.D. at Stanford University. Here, he met Larry Page and co-founded the world’s largest Internet company today—Google.

Top 1 – Lawrence “Larry” Page ($19.8 Billion)

Page’s parents were computer science professors. Carl Page, his father, earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science back in the day when the word “Internet” was not yet in the urban dictionary. So even before he was born, Larry was already on his way to creating Google. He earned his BS in Computer Engineering from Michigan State University and his Masters degree from Stanford University.

As you can see, one thing that a lot of successful online entrepreneurs have in common is a background in computer science and the ability to quickly develop and hack together websites. Today you can actually get trained as an IT professional over the Internet and receive a regionally accredited IT degree from a top ranked school (just make sure to visit a reputable college ranking site like The Best Colleges to make sure you are picking a reputable school). Who knows, you could also be among the richest online entrepreneurs someday.

There are many people that don’t understand what I do for a living. They assume that I can start and stop at any time, and that I am free to go with them to do the things they want me to do. They don’t understand my long hours or why I need things to be structured a certain way, but it all comes down to focus.

If you want to succeed at working from home and making a living online, be it from blogging or something else, you need to have focus, and you need to find ways to make others understand that the focus to do your job well isn’t easy.

Right now my focus is really messed up. My wife is only working casually right now which means she is hope a lot more. I am used to her working between eight and twelve hours a day, and so having her home all of the time has absolutely destroyed my normal daily flow and disturbed my focus immensely.

It isn’t that she is always bothering me, or getting in my way, but she does take advantage of the fact that I am home, no matter how plainly I explain to her that I need to work. She doesn’t understand that I need to take many short breaks between projects to unwind, as well as having uninterrupted periods of time, sometimes for many hours, where I can be productive.

Without being able to focus on my work, certain extra projects that I used to have time for fall by the wayside. Everything takes longer because I am not getting into that “groove” where I reach my peak productivity, and certain tasks that would normally take me three or four hours, now seem to stretch on for an entire day, only making me feel more stressed, further behind and a little annoyed.

It definitely makes me want to have an office outside of home, and it is taking a huge amount of time to re-adjust how I get into my focused state so that I can produce quality content in a timely manner.

So if you have been wondering why this blog has been a little slow lately, now you know. If anyone has any tips to increase my focus, work from home while the wife is home and making the most of such close quarters, I would love to hear them. Please let me know in the comments below.

After you’ve been in the blogging game for a while, you’ve probably developed a good monthly, or even weekly plan to follow in order to keep growing and developing your blogs. This also includes all the various expenses you’ve got related to the operation of that blog, which can sometimes grow quite large – though if you’re running your blog properly you should have no trouble offsetting those costs through your revenue. It’s always good to cut down on costs whenever you can though – and a good calling card can let you do exactly that, believe it or not.

Calling cards hold benefits for everyone, not just for travelers, as they’re mostly considered. The design of modern calling card systems makes them highly versatile and applicable to a wide variety of situations and needs. If you need free calls, for example, a calling card is exactly what you need to get those sweet benefits. Bear in mind that every type of card would come with its own specific conditions though, so make sure you get one that suits your needs – e.g., figure out who you most often talk to and which cards offer deals for their carrier, and so on.

The free calls you’ll be getting from your calling card can often net you a lot of money in savings – but be careful with how you use those cards, as it can easily turn out to be a pointless venture if you’re not using their potential to the fullest.

These sites try holding your fascination and attention for as much more time as possible by offering all kinds of things for you to do while these sites paste advertisements all over their page, hoping that you may click on any one of them.

Most of such people who are always on the web have already become tired of such unlimited web hosting sites, and they are not using them for much time as before due to the realization that these sites were not providing anything valuable.

Even if you have account on the Web 2.0 sites, which are supposed to be” cool” but still instant messaging or e-mail or phone and visiting people in person is a much better way of having a real both way communication. This two-way communication happens to be the key for developing relationships with other people, and Twitter and any other such sites cannot truly provide the fulfilling experience that makes requirement by everyone.

So, remove such sites from your phone, and stop logging into these sites such as Facebook. Instead, focus on making relationships with people in real not hiding behind unlimited web hosting sites whose only aim is to attract more people to join their sites to make more money.

An EPUB is an electronic publication device. It allows people to purchase any desired readings they like online and they can read it on this gadget. The great thing about this device is that you can make the most out of the reading’s text. In other words if you have a hard time reading books because of their small font, all you have to do with the EPUB is zoom in or turn the text into re-flowable style(word wrap).

Now you have the chance to not only read online books but you can access any PDF file you download. The PDF to EPUB converter saves you a lot of time and effort by converting PDF files available to be formatted into your own electronic books reader. The great thing about this program is that the PDF still retains its original features, so you don’t have to worry about using a different program to read the file. In addition, the interface of the program is very intuitive. The design is so simple you can start converting PDF to EPUB right away.

The program features are very unique and allows you to save up on your EPUB’s memory space. Let’s say you only need to read the first couple of pages of the PDF file, you can set the number of pages that need to be converted into the EPUB just by selecting the specified pages. Also, if you are a multilingual reader, no need to worry about translating errors because the PDF to EPUB converter suits different languages, such as English, French, German, even Simplified and Traditional Chinese.

One of the things I haven’t talked about often, but have meant to are the mistakes I’ve made in my career. Most people will avoid such things, and for good reason, but I think part of teaching others about blogging must be to highlight mistakes so that you can hopefully avoid them, and while many of my mistakes are only mistakes in hindsight, they are still worth noting.

Hopefully, this post will help you.

Darren Rowse and Bloggy Network

When first starting in blogging, I was given an opportunity by Darren Rowse to write on his laptops blog. After he came back from vacation, he offered me a part time position. Instead, I took a full time position with Bloggy Network.

Had I stayed with Darren part time, and taken a part time role with Bloggy Network, I probably could have made ends meet, given myself a fair bit of day to day variety, and maybe had even been one of the first full time employees of b5media.

Was this a mistake? I am not certain, but I’ve always wondered what my life would be like today had I gone that route. Even back then, Darren was a strong brand, and could have influenced my career in interesting ways.

Looking back at my situation at the time, I shouldn’t have been so quick to rush in to the first offer that was sent my way. I had tons of time, passion, and a fair bit of skill that I could have leveraged better.

More on Bloggy Network

After two years of working for Bloggy Network, I got a big complacent, as most people do. I thought too much of my value, and in doing so, I feel like I sealed my fate with that company. Don’t get me wrong, I was still producing great content, working on amazing things behind the scenes, but I wasn’t doing enough profit oriented tasks to remain one of the most valued assets of the company, and when time came to scale back, I was part of a deal in selling a variety of sites to Splashpress Media.

I should have done more as an employee to generate revenue, rather than taking on tasks that put me “behind the scenes”. I also should have pushed harder to stick to projects that gave me enjoyment, so I could leverage my passions. I was on quite a few projects that I didn’t agree with, or didn’t fully enjoy, and I think that was apparent to everyone involved.

Splashpress Media

I wasn’t too excited to be joining Splashpress as I had felt like I was being betrayed by Bloggy Network, a company I had been with since its inception, but I quickly adjusted to my new roles. Mark Saunders, Mr. Splashpress himself, once told me that he saw me climbing up the company ladder quite quickly, and that there were many things we could do together.

After blogging for a while, and managing far too many sites, I felt like the projects I had proposed when first joining the company weren’t getting any traction. Eventually, I felt like I was just a cog in the wheel, and was starting to get restless.

I should have fixed the problem myself though. If I had been smarter at the time, I would have requested Mark transfer some extra money to my account each month so I could hire the help I had needed to complete my projects, rather than waiting for resources to be assigned to me. My biggest problem was that I was waiting for resources and changes to occur, rather than taking the initiative and making things happen.

PicApp

A great company, with an interesting idea. As always, I was hired in part because of my passion, and breadth of ideas. I found myself in a good position, but realized two things early on. The first thing was that I wasn’t good at marketing in a traditional way. I could get people to write blog posts about PicApp, or allow me to use their blog as a platform, but being aware of the numerous marketing opportunities that were around me eluded me. I didn’t understand how difficult marketing was. The second thing was that the people already employed by PicApp had the rest of the community management aspects covered, leaving me feeling out of place. Hiring a community manager that they didn’t need lead me to realize that they really needed another marketing specialist, and so I stepped aside.

The only mistake I made here was not having a better understanding of what they needed, and what I could give to them. Had I understood my own marketing limitations better, I probably wouldn’t have taken the job, instead only consulting on the various blogging related questions that they had.

Now

Of course, I will probably make more mistakes going forward, but right now, the biggest “negative” in my career is how much I’ve let my personal brand fade. I’ve been so busy with College Crunch, a great project, that I have neglected all of the things that brought so many previous great career opportunities in front of me. Not sure yet what to do about this, but I am content with every facet of my current career, other than not being in the spotlight.

Hopefully, these lessons are not lost on you, and you’ll be able to see the opportunities you have, weigh them properly, and make as few mistakes as possible in your blogging-related career.
