I think it depends on the niche you’re writing on mainly – although having said that some of my best guest posters have been completely unknown people to me previously who don’t normally write about my niche at all – but who know how to communicate in a way that draws people in.

While getting a big personality in I think I’d prefer getting someone in who knows how to write and had no profile at all.

Darren Rowse would definately be my 1st pick. His is in the same niche as me, and I am sure the majority of my readers are his also.

Last year I would have said Ted Murphy as I believe he would have mass appeal to my audience (beginning bloggers looking to make a few bucks and improve their writing skills). But after he offered and burned me, I can’t say that anymore.

Like you, Darren and Chris would be great but I have the same opinion that you gave about them.

So truthfully, that leaves me a little stumped as to who would be best and how it would valuable to the guest poser and my readers.
