David, thank you very much for the review. This is exactly the kind of advice I was looking for. Last year I was experimenting all sorts of things, so I didn’t bother too much with progress, as I was just learning. This year, however, I saw lots of new blogs going up much faster, that I started to wonder what am I doing wrong. There are still a few experiments ongoing on the blog (like the header image leading to the RSS feed subscription – I did not get any increase of subscribers number, so I’m going to end it)

Michael, I didn’t think that my big ad is so annoying. When I see such ads on blogs, I just scroll down a bit and read the content. But not all readers are like myself

I’m going to change the layout soon and I’m waiting for all of you to have your say then

They wanted an honest review, and I think their blog could be HUGE online if they would only work on their on-site advertisements and their design. Their content is amazing, and thus their blog should be too, and so it bummed me out that I had to be so harsh on them.

Hopefully, they will take my advice, sort things out, and I don’t doubt we will be seeing All Tips and Tricks pop up more and more online.

Man, and I thought my reviews were candid. I’m downright diplomatic compared to you! However, you are absolutely right about the design. Inappropriate header and giant ad space aren’t professional. They’d make more money from ads by getting more readers, but they won’t get more readers with that huge at at the top like that. People will think it’s a MFA (made for AdSense) site and leave before giving it a chance.
