Hi David,

I don’t think it’s the economy. Your consulting page is all about you. It reads like a resume. What can you do for me? What are the results? What have you done for other customers? Where are their testimonials?

As I read it now, your service offerings are pretty vague and don’t draw me in.

I think location may have alot to do with this – if you lived in Minnesota, I could probably give you 40 hours of work that we presently have to pass on.

Good friend of mine that runs a web design firm here in town (something I don’t do) is hiring his 34th employee this week — he’s doubled in size this year.. and he charges more than I do

As you say it is a little difficult to convince someone to take up services in the current climate especially if it is just via the web.

So sometimes it is easier to hook into local searches as people can meet you directly and at least they are ‘warm’ to what you have to offer.

Your Branding David site might want to mention local towns and regions so that localised search hooks into this content.

Don’t leave the low hanging fruit to go rotten.
