Facebook requires building and maintaining a rich profile to get the most out of it. With Twitter you can skip all of that and go straight to commenting, and you're forced to do so in a minimalist fashion that respects other people's time. That said, the rest of the world's on Facebook, so I guess that means that I'm on Facebook too! I’m more partial to Twitter, despite its adolescent page design and frequent downtime.
