I would highly recommend FeedDemon/NetNewsWire. It is a desktop client, but it syncs between multiple computers and even has a web-based RSS reader, as well as a reader for cell phones. I keep it synced between two computers and my cell phone and haven't had problems. Just remember to close it before you go offline and it will sync.

I switched from Bloglines when Bloglines had a 24-hour+ outage a while back. Also, Bloglines wasn't correctly updating some feeds for me. It was just too buggy for me to consider using on a regular basis.

I went ahead and built my own web based rss reader. Before that I used newsgator because there mobile and web based readers are synced as well as the desktop mac and windows clients.

I still use netvibes. Netvibes was down for a few days last year and I looked at a few other readers but once the servers were working ok again I found myself going back to Netvibes. It's very easy to get used to the applications you use online and stick with them because you are used to them. I guess I'm a creature of habit!

I guess I'm a dinosaur for liking to use NewsFire - http://www.newsfirerss.com/ , although my wife is happily using Google Reader.
