But for the New Year’s eve celebrations, a new app has been developed that will let you see what’s happening around the world. How cool is that! It is a live app for the iPhone and iPod touch and for the iPad.

Called EarthCam’s New Year’s Live, the app has webcams in different locations such as in New York City, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Abbey Road Crossing in the U.K. and Prague among many others. Its other great features are the virtual photo booth, party box with eight special sound effects, party favors and archives.
