(Having said that, at least there would not be such a learning curve as with Drupal et al..). The issues with the pages is something I have already come across with smaller sites and it can be so frustrating! As to dynamically showing sub pages in the content of a parent page.. it may be me, but I have found this depends on the template I am using (but as I said, I am no developer!).
