I’ve managed to install WP on Mac OS/X Tiger running XAMPP for Mac. When I go to create a Page the admin panel, it says not published even though I selected Published but when I do a refresh and go to the site, no pages show up. Does this have something to do with permissions by chance??

Nice breakdown David. I really recommend looking for a host that offers a one-click installation, but now with this info it shouldn’t be too hard the other way.
